Contact Lens Exams

At Drs. Bare, Basic and Rohm, we provide contact lens examinations that utilize the latest innovative technologies. We have access to contact lenses that provide increased comfort for patients with dry eye, enhanced optics for patients with astigmatism, and bifocal/multifocal lenses. Our doctors will work with you to understand your needs and recommend the best solution for your unique situation.

For patients new to contact lenses the doctor will work with you to determine your best contact lens fit. Most patients are then able to proceed with contact lens training during the same appointment. Our experienced technicians will provide training with insertion, removal, and care of contact lenses to support your success.

We fit all major brands and types of contact lenses including, spherical, astigmatic, multifocal, single use, and oxygen-permeable rigid lenses. At the completion of your exam, you will receive a copy of your prescription to purchase lenses. We do not sell contact lenses, but you can purchase them at Visionworks conveniently located next door or the retailer of your choosing.

Single-Use/Daily Disposable Lenses

While reusable contact lenses are still excellent choices for patients, the latest daily disposables can provide a significant enhancement to the contact lens experience for many patients. Two-Week and Monthly lenses are susceptible to the development of a biofilm which decreases comfort and increases complications. Daily lenses provide that fresh lens feeling, decreases dryness, and provides the most comfortable contact lens experience. For those patients who have dropped out of contact lenses due to dryness complaints, the latest daily disposables have made significant advances that make revisiting contact lenses possible again. Ask your doctor if daily disposables are right for you!
